The Internet has provided a way to monetize many hobbies and passions, and the fitness industry has certainly been one of those. With the right business model and great marketing, you can turn your passion for health and fitness into a sustainable income, even as a busy mom.

YouTube fitness videos

Some of the largest channels on YouTube are based around fitness. Fitness aficionados share their workout routines as well as their diet plans.

They are also able to create a personal brand for themselves through the constant branding that takes place because of the sticky nature of the visual medium.

The model here is to obtain subscribers and generate new content often. When a channel gets big enough, advertisers will sometimes contact you directly to help pitch their product.

Even if you don’t earn money from your videos, you will certainly get the branding and advertising you need to get started.

Sharing recipes

There are many websites that will give money for original recipes that are shared exclusively on that website. On many of these websites, healthy recipe creators can become trusted members of the community who can then create other products that will be consumed such as recipe e-books.

You can start your own website or blog as well, sharing recipes and selling health products you believe in.

Selling health and fitness products

Whether you have created a personal brand or not, you can always create an income stream for yourself by selling a product that has already been branded. Selling a product with a known brand is quite effective for people who do not have the time to market themselves.

Online classes

Many people have turned their live stream channels into workout tapes for people who do not have time to go to the gym. It is also a great way to connect with other in-home entrepreneurs like yourself who may be in need of a morning workout before starting the work day.

Some of the most popular teachers of classes have been able to accentuate their income through private training sessions over networks such as Skype or Facetime.

Fitness instructor

If you are a busy mom but still want to share your passion for health and fitness with others, teaching a class a few times a week is a great option. Go to your local gym, yoga studio or fitness center to see if they are need of any new classes and instructors.

This is a great way to stay fit, make a little extra money, and share with others what you know about health and fitness.

Many of the business models that have been mentioned in this article actually work best when used in tandem with each other. Consider as many of the revenue streams as possible as a way to create an income for yourself through teaching and practicing fitness and health.
