You might have a job where you need to stand most of the day. Your leg pain hinders you at work and at home when you are trying to relax. You begin to wonder if your legs will ever feel healthy and strong again.

You can treat your leg pain with these four methods and be well on your way to healthier legs that feel better.

Hot and cold therapy

The idea of an ice bath may not be appealing, but it is effective. Athletes in all kinds of sports jump in tubs of icy water to soothe aches and pains in their legs. Put some ice in a cold tub of water and sit in it for as long as you can stand it.

After you dry off, you can place heated pads on your legs. This will relax the pain and help your body eliminate it. The combination of ice and heat is an effective way to treat leg pain.

Gentle stretches

If you believe your pain comes from muscles or joints, you can perform gentle stretches. Your pain could be caused by tightness or muscle fatigue. Gentle stretches promote flexibility and blood circulation throughout your body.

You might begin to notice improvements in leg pain after a few weeks of stretching. Consult a doctor or a personal trainer to show you how to get the most out of a stretching routine.

Rest when possible

Your legs will need rest to heal. And it will feel good for you to take a load off. Try to elevate your legs on a small table or another chair. If you enjoy exercising, you might need to cut back a little bit until your legs heal up. And make sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day.

Water will keep you hydrated and keep your legs from experiencing fatigue.

Laser treatment for varicose veins

Varicose veins cause pain and leave unsightly marks and bumps on your legs. You can go to a doctor or specialist in Juneau and have them treated with a laser. This process is actually much more comfortable than other methods of treating varicose veins.

Many people who never experienced them don’t believe how painful varicose veins can be. The laser treatments will reduce leg pain and make your legs look better.

Leg pain doesn’t have to affect your life too much. You can always ask a doctor for more advice when you go for laser treatments for varicose veins. Be sure to rest as much as you can while your legs heal. Try the heat and ice therapy as often as you like. It should help you to feel better.
