6 Secrets to Achieving a Dazzling Hollywood Smile

July 9, 2014 by Karleia Steiner 2 Comments

Smiling doesn’t go easy for everyone, especially if a person is self-conscious about their teeth. But you can have that dazzling Hollywood smile that illuminates in your photographs and everyday life — as long as you are willing to put a little work into it.

Hollywood’s best smiles do not come naturally. In fact, they spend hours each week keeping their smiles looking as amazing as possible.

Brush your teeth daily

If you are the type that brushes in the morning and skips it at night, it’s time to change your routine. Proper dental hygiene is key to having a great smile, so brush morning and night.

By doing so, you remove excess food particles in your gums, prevent gum disease and prevent buildup that can actually yellow the surface of your teeth.

Floss

Flossing is one of those dreaded tasks, but doing so daily can actually improve the look of your smile. Use a gentle, swaying motion when you do floss so that you don’t damage your gums, and try to do it at least twice a day.

Avoid eating sugary foods

Foods high in sugar can actually change the acidity in your mouth and lead to more plaque buildup — and that can dull out a white, bright smile. If you do eat something sugary, brush your teeth after to remove the buildup and bacteria.

Avoid acidic drinks

Foods high in acid can actually soften the material of your teeth and dissolve the tooth enamel — something you cannot get back — leading to cavities, discoloration and even odd-shaped teeth.

Use your teeth for chewing and nothing else

All too often, your teeth become a secondary tool — when they aren’t supposed to be. If you use your teeth to open packages, remove bottle tops or even break open nuts, you are at risk for chipping or breaking one of your teeth.

Visit a professional

Sometimes, your teeth need a little extra help in getting their white, bright look back or to fix broken, cracked teeth. Dental technology has come a long way, and today, dental professionals can use implants to restore the look of your teeth.

And implants function just like real teeth so you would never notice the difference. According to dental professionals, implants are safe, effective and can often be done in single visit.

Not having a perfect smile can weigh on you. A lot of people with imperfect smiles lose their self-confidence, stop smiling or even avoid talking in public because they are ashamed of how their teeth look.

By using proper care and getting professional intervention, you can restore your teeth and even get a Hollywood-ready smile.

Visit a dental professional like Dr. Bryan Murray to help achieve a brilliant and beautiful smile.
